I am a secondary teacher of English in Southern Spain. I studied MFL in Jaén and I got a DPSI certificate in Law in England. I started my teaching career in Newcastle back in 2000, where I lived for 3 years. Once I returned home, I taught in a public school and got ready to sit the "oposiciones" exam, which I passed!!! Currently, I am teaching in Spain, which has become my definite residence in since 2004.

What to do in summer?

My recommendation is to focus on listening and speaking, while watching tv series or movies and meeting new people in your holidays destination. Summer is definitely the perfect season for that!!!
Grammar and Reading were extra worked during the school year, so now, it is time to deal with the other skills. Both, listening and speaking, can be practised on my other blog Missisabelonline Listen Watch and Talk, devoted to aural skills. Actually, it is the one I am updating at the moment :D
Watch the videos I suggest, click on the links to improve the pronunciation, do the listenings from the listed websites, use the speaking sections to improve your conversation and, basically, practice as much as you can not to leave aside all the learning done so far.

IDIOMS REFERENCE SITES

Idioms or Idiomatic expressions

Idioms are a part of the figurative language. The good thing about them is that they make a language sound very creative, and can also get others to think and figure out what the person who is using the idiom might mean. Unfortunately, they are usually complicated and hard to remember. But they are worth the hassle!!!
Here you are two interesting sites about IDIOMS

1) English at Home
2) Saber Inglés
