Mi foto
I am a secondary teacher of English in Southern Spain. I studied MFL in Jaén and I got a DPSI certificate in Law in England. I started my teaching career in Newcastle back in 2000, where I lived for 3 years. Once I returned home, I taught in a public school and got ready to sit the "oposiciones" exam, which I passed!!! Currently, I am teaching in Spain, which has become my definite residence in since 2004.

The Impacts of Technology

ESO3 are focused on unit 6:"Mad about Mobiles". Regarding this attractive issue:
1) We will discuss some pictures and video clips related to the positive nad negative aspects of this topic.
2) We will use modern techonologies inside the classroom in an active way by sending tweets to the teacher or by simulating text messaging in a Padlet wall.
3) We will reflect on our good or bad use of technologies in our lives.
Here is some food for thought.

"What to see and do in my village" project (ESO3C)

Dear ESO3C students,
to conclude Unit 5, you are required to do a project about the main attactions in your village.
High achievers: Use Glogster to produce an interactive poster.
Medium difficulty: Use padlet to present your village:
Campillo, Noalejo, Cárchel and Carchelejo.
Low difficulty: Follow the students' book instructions.

Love Day 2014

Fantastic, massive and love-filled day at school today. A big THANK YOU to all students for their active participation in Love Day. Your contribution was amazing!!!! Literature prizes for short story, love tweets and haikus were also given during break time.

Love Day Prep II


Next Thursday (13th February):
1) Remember to bring your heart-shaped lollies to the English Lab (ESO3 or AS level) or Library (ESO1, ESO4 and A2 level)  during break time. Class captains will be collecting them in nice baskets so that they can give them out the following day.
2) Stick on them the name and the class of the person receiving it.
3) Friday 14th February will be distribution day!!!!

Cooperative Learning Task: Fashion Timeline Project

ESO3B students have completed an amazing Fashion Timeline from the 60's to the 90's working cooperatively and collaboratively in a more than astounding way. After 5 sessions of intense reading and investigating via the Internet and a bookelt provided by the teacher, they have come up with 4 different posters illustrating each decade's key milestones putting a special focus on music, and fahion!!!
Everybody has participated and it has been a most rewarding experience.
