I am a secondary teacher of English in Southern Spain. I studied MFL in Jaén and I got a DPSI certificate in Law in England. I started my teaching career in Newcastle back in 2000, where I lived for 3 years. Once I returned home, I taught in a public school and got ready to sit the "oposiciones" exam, which I passed!!! Currently, I am teaching in Spain, which has become my definite residence in since 2004.

Imaginary Land Project. Constitution Day.

As we are about to celebrate Constitution Day in Spain, what better project than designing your own country??? You can't get any cooler than that! In groups, we will design a brochure to present an Imaginary Land with the following info:
Page 1: Name of the country & Flag.
Page 2: Members of the project
Page 3: Index of Contents (as detailed next)
Page 4: Description of the country
Page 5: Description of the capital city.
Page 6: Map including distinctive geographical aspects.
Page 7: Inhabitants and Nationality.
Page 8: Flora and Fauna
Page 9: Language
Page 10: LAWS.
This last point will be the perfect excuse to start a debate about the importance of a constitution, moving to ours in particular. They must reflect not only on people's rights, but also on their duties and responsibilities. Also, key aspects such as monarchy, presidency, religion and police forces will be questioned to be present or absent in each group's proposal.
